I made a card for a dear friend. She is moving to Florida early next month. Although saying good-bye is a hard thing to do, I wish her all the best and hope she would smile when she thought of us.
I used
watercolor to color all the flowers and then added a light blue
watercolor wash around the flowers. I then die cut the sentiment "smile"
from the floral background. To make the sentiment stand out from the background, I die
cut three more "smile"s from a white cardstock and glued the three
layers all together.
At this point, I debated if I'd had the sentiment hidden or not. Here are the two cards side by side. I think the white sentiment popped more with the floral background and I am glad about the decision. And the bonus was that the sentiment cut outs can be used to make another card!
Here is a close up.

I love my Altenew majestic bloom stamp set and the coordinating die set. It's so easy to make gorgeous cards with them.
This
is a close up. The sentiment Thank You was stamped using black pigment
ink then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I fuzzy cut the
sentiment and used foam tapes to give it a pop.
I had to try the colored pencil coloring on dark card base after I saw this card made by Sandy Allnock. I always got so inspired watching her videos!
I wanted to make a purple birthday card with the cutest elephant and this is the card I came up with. A purple elephant is hard to come by, but I just couldn't resist to make her purple!
Here is a close-up.
I like the white highlights on the balloon, the
butterfly, the flowers and on the elephant. I also added some highlights
on the ground using uni-ball white gel pen and used my fingers to
smooth it out. Isn't she the cutest little purple elephant?
