I first stamped the flowers with gray ink on a piece of watercolor card, then colored the flowers using watercolor pencils. I also used gold acrylic paint to add a stripe on the right and used my new gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add dots around the flowers.
Here is a close-up. Those gold dots really sparkle.

I LOVE this poppy stamp from Penny Black and also have it. Great job with your watercolouring ... the flowers are so pretty! Love the added sparkle from the gold dots and gold stripe. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully painted, Violet! I love this poppy stamp and I don't have it. It's on my list though! The gold is such a beautiful addition with the soft colors of the poppy! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Watercolour!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful stamp but what YOU did with it was gorgeous. I find no-line coloring so difficult. You did a great job. This is really beautiful. Someone is going to be very luck to receive this card!!
