Wonderful

I made this wonderful butterfly card to play along the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Things With Wings

I used a stencil and watercolor to create the background on a piece of watercolor paper. Te make the butterfly, I first put ink on the butterfly stamp, then I used a flower stamp to dry stamp on the butterfly stamp to add some patterns to the solid butterfly, and then I stamped the butterfly on paper, and finally I fuzzy cut the butterfly. Here are close-ups of the butterfly.

From the close-ups, I hope you can see the butterfly was mounted with an angle. I used foam tapes to mount the head and two larger wings, and double-sided tapes was used for the two smaller wings. The butterfly was ready to take off to see the wonderful world!

Thank you for stopping by!!

Hello

I made this card to play Less is More challenge. The theme for week 285 is repetition.

I used a single flower stamp to make this card for this challenge: repetition. With 3 different ink colors, I stamped six rows of flowers. I also rotated the stamp a little bit each time when I stamped the flowers.

After making this card, I was thinking if it was too plain. So I decided to add sequins for each flower. I also changed the background paper color to purple. Which card is better?

Happy Birthday

I made this card to play CASology week 204: Row. I first used various shades of purple markers to paint my acrylic block, and I picked up the colors to paint a piece of watercolor paper. I then cut the watercolor paper into triangles. I was able to cut lots of triangles from a piece of 4"x5" watercolor paper.

To follow the CASology cue card: row, I selected 6 triangles and put them in a row to make a pennant banner on a navy card. I also stamped "happy birthday" with pigment ink on a separate navy card and cut the sentiment out. To finish the card, I glued everything with glue dots.

I still have lots of triangles left to make other cards. This has made me very very happy!!
