Sweet Yellow Ditsy

The inspiration challenge photo at Altenew this month reminded me of their sweet Ditsy Print Stamp Set and I had to use the stamp set to make a card and play along their challenge.

Here is the card I made. Isn't it a sweet card for a sweet friend?

Sparkle Friends

I made a card for a sweet friend who likes simple and elegant cards. And I had to add some sparkles for her.

I used Altenew's Frosted Garden Stamp Set to stamp the flowers and then I heat embossed the center of the flowers with gold embossing powder. I was lucky enough to find a matching cardstock to make a side border to match the flower color. I also used gold acrylic paint to paint a golden stripe on the side border. With the left over gold paint, I added some golden dots here and there around the flowers. The sentiment was also form the same stamp set.

You can see the sparkles from this close up.

Layered Flowers

I was so happy to make a card using the Altenew layering dies called Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set. I had so much fun making the flowers and leaves. I first die cut the flower pieces and the leaves, I then watercolored all the pieces and let them dry. Assembling the card was also fun. I tugged the leaves here and there and I just couldn't stop!

Sweet Friend Flower

I was playing with the Altenew Poppy Bloom Stencil and I was in love. I love the big poppy - simple yet elegant. I also love how easy it is to use. I just secured the stencil to a flat surface and used watercolor to color. This card only took me less than thirty minutes to finish, including drying time! I did use a heating gun to shorten the waiting time :).

Blue and Violet Birthday

I made another birthday card with blue and purple flowers. I first stamped the flowers using gray dye ink then I colored the flowers using watercolor.

Blue Roses Thank You

I love roses - pink roses, violet roses, and blue roses! They all put a smile on my face. This time, I made blue roses for this thank you card. Hopefully, all the roses would make my friend happy, just like all the roses made me so happy!

Yellow Thank You

I made a card to enter the Paper Smooches' June Challenge. I used the colors from the Challenge to paint my flowers. Then I chose blue from the color chart to mat the flower panel and chose a yellow card base for my card. The yellow card base is such a sweet color for the card! Love it!

Mother's Day Roses Too

Following the previous post and using the left over roses, I made a card for my mom. I used pink and purple inks for the roses and used grey as the background color.

Love the Altenew vintage roses!! Once I started making the roses, I just couldn't stop! And I still have bunch of roses to make more cards. Nice!

Mother's Day Roses

Happy Mother's Day! To celebrate Mother's Day with some dear friends, we had a party together and I made Mother's Day cards for them using Altenew's vintage roses stamp set. I made six cards in total. Each card has the same background but with a different design. For the roses with four layers, I used embossing powder for the forth/top layer. I also added some pearls around the roses.

It was a great party with my friends. And I hope these cards made my friends a very happy Mother's Day.

Here are the cards in pairs.

Here are the cards one by one.

Purple Thanks

I made a purple flower card inspired by Paper Smooches' inspiration photo for April challenge. This stamp set, Blossoming Buds, is one of my favorite stamp sets from Paper Smooches. I used watercolor to color all the flowers and leaves. I then added a gray wash around the flowers. A few sequins were also added for some sparkles.
