Blue Happiness

I've always wanted to make a pretty "messy" floral background for my card. When I saw the challenge this month at the Flower Challenge is Focus on Background Stamping, I finally made up my mind to make the card.

I first water colored a soft subtle blue background on a watercolor paper, then I stamped varies floral images using different shades of blues overlapping each other and the music scores. To create the many different shades of blues, I stamped the floral images with first, second, and third generations of stamping until the inks were no longer visible. I also colored a couple of white floral die cuts with subtle blue inks before I glued them to the card.

This is a happy blue summer card! I am very happy with it!

Safari Hi

I made some cute cards for a friend's boys. I made four cards in total, one monkey, one giraffe, one lion, and one turtle. Here are the cards.

Hi Bear

I made another card using the cute cute Kind Bear Die from Paper Smooches. The bear originally had a flower held in her hand, but I cut out the flower and let her held a balloon instead. I also let her sit on clouds and float in air. Isn't she just so cute?! I used a blue textured cardstock for the card and made the card a little taller and narrower.

This is a close up. I die cut the bear using kraft paper. I hope you can see I added some pink on her cheeks and some yellow and brown on her body, ears, and tail. I used colored pencils to do the coloring.

Thankful Bear

I made a CAS card using the new kind Bear Die from Paper Smooches. I loved the cute bear the first time I saw it and I had to have it!

This is the first card I made with the kind bear die. I can see myself using it to make all kinds of cards in the future! How wonderful!

To make it more fun, I didn't die cut the bear. I used embossing pads for an embossed image. I then colored the bear using colored pencils.

Here is a close up.
