Blue Butterfly Thank You Card

I love blue! Blue skies. Blue flowers. Blue ribbons. Blue birds. And blue butterflies! When I saw the "Shades of Blue" challenge from Sunday Stamps, I had to play along!

I first stamped the butterfly using VersaMark ink on a piece of watercolor card, then heat embossed the butterfly with clear embossing powder. Next, I took out my markers and colored on my acrylic block. Then I picked up the colors with a dampened brush to paint on the cards. I used different shades of blue and a hint of green and tried to catch the calm and soft feeling from the hint card. Here is what I came up with.

To make the sentiment pop, I used silver embossing powder, and finally, I sprayed the card with some shimmers I made with perfect pearls.

I am also playing along the AAA Cards Challenge #71 Blending and Penny Black August challenge: anything goes with a stamp.

Hope you like this card!
